“The Holy See has declared in the Lateran Treaty that it will take a neutral attitude toward the territorial problems of the nations and not interfere unless all interested parties, by common accord, make an appeal to the Pope to mediate for peace, in his capacity of a moral and spiritual power . . . To speak with the necessary competence one must know all the facts, and that is not possible under the present circumstances. As far as acts of inhumanity are concerned, the Pope has often, and clearly, raised his voice.”

    AYUNO – Is 58, 1-9a.

Este es el ayuno que yo quiero.

    Lectura del libro de Isaías.
    ESTO dice el Señor Dios:
    «Grita a pleno pulmón, no te contengas;
alza la voz como una trompeta,
denuncia a mi pueblo sus delitos,
a la casa de Jacob sus pecados.
    Consultan mi oráculo a diario,
         me piden sentencias justas,
         quieren acercarse a Dios.
    “¿Para qué ayunar, si no haces caso;
         mortificarnos, si no te enteras?”
         y apremiáis a vuestros servidores;
         ayunáis para querellas y litigios,
         y herís con furibundos puñetazos.
    No ayunéis de este modo,
         cubrir a quien ves desnudo
y no desentenderte de los tuyos.
Entonces surgirá tu luz como la aurora,
         enseguida se curarán tus heridas,
         ante ti marchará la justicia,
detrás de ti la gloria del Señor.
    Entonces clamarás al Señor y te responderá;
pedirás ayuda y te dirá: “Aquí estoy”».

La temporada de la Octava de Navidad

    https://www.infocatolica.com/?t=noticia&cod=51261

    https://es.aleteia.org/2025/01/09/la-devocion-de-los-cinco-primeros-sabados-de-mes

La Comunión Reparadora de los Primeros Sábados de mes

Aparición de Nuestro Señor y de la Santísima Virgen a Sor Lucia en Pontevedra

The most normal form of unceasing prayer in the Orthodox tradition is the Jesus Prayer. The Jesus Prayer is the form of invocation used by those practicing mental prayer, also called the “prayer of the heart.” The words of the prayer most usually said are “Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner.” The choice of this particular verse has a theological and spiritual meaning.

     *SALMO 51*

    Oración de Arrepentimiento

Piedad de mí, Señor, en tu bondad,

Por tu gran corazón, borra mi falta.

Que mi alma quede limpia de malicia,

    Purifícame tú de mi pecado.

Pues mi pecado yo bien lo conozco,

    Mi falta no se aparta de mi mente;

    Un corazón contrito te presento;

    No desdeñas un alma destrozada.

Capilotes are not the same as Ku Klux Klan hoods and do nit have Satanic origins
This is proof the Church is performing Satanic ritual? Fr. Joseph Iannuzzi explains – Minute 11’39

The truth about the origin of the Easter eggs. No, they have nothing to do with the goddess of fertility Astarte or Ashtoreth as JWs claim!

Forgotten Customs of Lent – OnePeterFive

    READ https://onepeterfive.com/forgotten-customs-of-lent/

The Lenten fast included fasting from all lacticinia (Latin for milk products) which included butter, cheese, eggs, and animal products.[2] From this tradition, Easter Eggs were introduced, and therefore the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday is when pancakes are traditionally eaten to use leftover lacticinia. And similarly, Fat Tuesday is known as Carnival, coming from the Latin words carne levare – literally the farewell to meat. These were mentioned in the “Forgotten Customs of Septuagesima” article in more detail.

ACTIVE AND PASSIVE NIGHTS OF THE SOUL

    “The divinization of one’s passivities.”

This is a line from one of the great spiritual works of the twentieth century, The Divine Milieu by the French Jesuit Pierre Teilhard de Chardin. In that seminal text, Teilhard famously distinguished between the divinization of one’s activities and the divinization of one’s passivities. The former is a noble spiritual move, consisting in the handing over of one’s achievements and accomplishments to the purposes of God. A convinced Jesuit, Teilhard desired to devote all that he did (and he did a lot) ad majorem Dei gloriam (to the greater glory of God). But this attitude, Teilhard felt, came nowhere near the spiritual power of divinizing one’s passivities. By this he meant the handing over of one’s suffering to God, the surrendering to the Lord of those things that are done to us, those things over which we have no control. We become sick; a loved one dies suddenly; we lose a job; a much-desired position goes to someone else; we are unfairly criticized; we find ourselves, unexpectedly, in the valley of the shadow of death. These experiences lead some people to despair, but the spiritually alert person should see them as a particularly powerful way to come to union with God. A Christian would readily speak here of participating in the cross of Christ. Indeed how strange that the central icon of the Christian faith is not of some great achievement or activity, but rather of something rather horrible being done to a person. The point is that suffering, offered to God, allows the Lord to work his purpose out with unsurpassed power.

In some ways, Teilhard’s distinction is an echo of St. John of the Cross’s distinction between the “active” and “passive” nights of the soul. For the great Spanish master, the dark night has nothing to do with psychological depression, but rather with a pruning away of attachments that keep one from complete union with God. This pruning can take a conscious and intentional form (the active night) or it can be something endured. In a word, we can rid ourselves of attachments—or God can do it for us. The latter, St. John thinks, is far more powerful and cleansing than the former.
